COTTON TWILL BALLCAP HONORING THE TAIYO WHALES

History: The 1960 Taiyo Whales marked a turning point in the history of the franchise. After years of struggle, the club hired manager Osamu Mihara, whose arrival transformed the team almost immediately. The Whales won the Central League pennant in their first season under Mihara, then defeated the Mainichi Daimai Orions in the Japan Series to claim the first championship in franchise history. The 1960 season became the foundation for the Whales’ emergence as a serious force in Japanese professional baseball, making it one of the defining years in the club’s history.

Made from sturdy cotton twill and finished with our signature green satin underbrim, this ballcap honors the Taiyo Whales.
