WOOL BALLCAP HONORING REDDY KILOWATT'S PLACE IN BASEBALL HISTORY

History: Reddy Kilowatt first appeared in the 1920s for the Alabama Power Company and was used for several decades by various power utilities to promote the use of electric power and safe electricity. In the 1940s, it was common for both labor unions and private companies to either form amateur baseball teams with their members or sponsor semi-pro clubs — and it was through arrangements like this that Reddy Kilowatt became a baseball mascot. For a few decades, it was common to find this beloved character on the uniforms of municipal teams and little league squads alike.

This ballcap was hand-sewn from genuine wool baseball cloth and finished with a felt patch of the Reddy Kilowatt logo. This hat was also designed with a counterpart — a kids-sized version that combines with this one to form a matching duo.
