COTTON TWILL BALLCAP HONORING THE BROOKLYN ROYAL GIANTS
History: John Connor founded the Brooklyn Royal Giants in 1905, named after his Brooklyn Royal Cafe, and built them into one of the premier Black baseball clubs on the East Coast. Hall of Famer John Henry Lloyd managed the club in 1920. Smoky Joe Williams pitched for them in 1924. In 1926 they beat a barnstorming squad with Babe Ruth on the roster. They played at Dexter Park in Queens, barnstormed across the Northeast, and kept going all the way through 1942 — nearly four decades of Brooklyn baseball, most of it played outside any formal league structure, all of it worth remembering.
Made from sturdy cotton twill and finished with our signature green satin underbrim, this ballcap honors the Brooklyn Royal Giants.
