WOOL BALLCAP HONORING THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON

History: In 1959, the Washington Huskies baseball team won the Pacific Coast Conference North Division title under coach Dale Parker — the program's first division title in seven years and the ticket to Washington's first-ever NCAA tournament appearance. The Huskies went 1-2 in the District VIII Regional, a modest result, but the appearance itself marked a turning point: proof that Husky baseball had arrived on the national stage. It would be more than two decades before they made it back, which makes that 1959 squad all the more worth remembering.
