COTTON TWILL BALLCAP INSPIRED BY THE 1939 SANTURCE CANGREJEROS
History: Perhaps the most important ballclub in Puerto Rico, the Santurce Cangrejeros were founded in 1939 and played their inaugural season with a legend of the Negro Leagues on their roster: catcher Josh Gibson. The eventual hall-of-hamer was actually a player-manager, leading the team on and off the field in their professional baseball debut.
The Cangrejeros wore two different jerseys in the '39 season featuring two different jersey colors and script designs for the home and away uniforms. This one is based on the 'away' jersey, featuring a grey cotton twill body and blue script applied using a vintage raised embroidery method, giving the final logo that stands off the body of the hat in a stylish 3D effect.
