The Giants had been struggling to draw fans to the Polo Grounds, despite their winning pennants as recently as 1954 and 1951, so Giants owner Horace Stoneham decided to join O’Malley and move his franchise to the City By The Bay. The Giants moved into Seals Stadium, longtime home of San Francisco’s Pacific Coast League teams. The former New York City rivalry was transplanted to California, and on April 15th, 1958, the Giants defeated the Dodgers 8-0 in the first MLB game on the West Coast.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWhen we released our first collection of shawl-collar MLB sweaters, we were delighted with the response.
